Argentine Women March for Abortion Rights in #NotOneMore March

Thousands took to the streets of Buenos Aires Monday for the third anniversary of the #NiUnaMenos, or #NotOneMore (Woman) march. While in previous years, the march predominantly protested against gender-based violence, this year it focused on the legalization of abortion.

Demonstrators wore the color green, representing the fight for abortion, and many also carried purple strands of cloth used to symbolize the color of bruises left on the bodies of women who have suffered attacks.

Like most countries in Latin America, Argentina only allows abortion under specific circumstances, including rape and risk to the mother's life.
